Kids' paintball birthday party near Brussels: the guide

Kids in overalls listening to the safety briefing before a paintball birthday in Bierges

"Mum, for my birthday I want to go paintballing." Sound familiar? Good news: paintball is possible from age 8, provided the right gear and the right field. Here is how we built our kids' package in Bierges (Wavre), and what you should know before booking.

Paintball from age 8, really?

Really, but not with adult gear. Our 8-12 birthday package rests on three adaptations:

  • A field entirely dedicated to kids: of our 4 paintball fields, one is reserved for young players. No mixing with adult groups, shorter distances, obstacles at their scale.
  • Lighter, reduced-power markers: the impact is strongly softened, comparable to a flick through the overalls.
  • Full protection: full-face mask, overalls and chest protector: the child is covered head to toe.

The birthday package in detail

€32 per child for 2 hours of play + 1 hour of snack time, from 10 children (€320 per group, €25 per extra child), with a perk parents truly appreciate: unlimited paintballs. No surprise supplement because the troop emptied their hoppers in the first fifteen minutes: everything is included, insurance too. The prices page has all the details.

How does the afternoon unfold?

  1. Welcome and gear: each child receives their overalls, mask and marker, with the instructor's explanations.
  2. Kid-friendly briefing: the rules, the distances, the end-of-round signal: everything is repeated until it sticks.
  3. 2 hours of scenarios: capture the flag, attack/defence, protect the VIP (the birthday child, of course), in short rounds with quick rotations.
  4. 1 hour of snack time at the forest edge: you bring the cake and drinks, the tables are ready.

Paintball or Archery Tag for a birthday?

  • Ages 8-10, mixed group or first-timersArchery Tag (€30/child): zero impact, zero apprehension, the Robin Hood factor always lands.
  • Ages 10-12, action-game fans asking for paintball → kids' paintball: the camouflage immersion and the paint splats, in a controlled setting.

Either way: 2 hours of play, 1 hour of snack time, gear and instructors included, and a child who is the star of the class on Monday.

Frequently asked questions from parents

Do the paintballs stain the kids' clothes?

The provided overalls fully protect their clothes, and our paintballs are biodegradable: the paint washes out with water. Just plan closed shoes that can handle the forest.

Does the paintball impact hurt children?

On the kids' field, markers run at reduced power and stricter safety distances apply: through the overalls and chest protector, the impact feels like a flick. Instructors enforce the distances throughout the session.

Can 8-year-olds and 13-year-olds play together?

Up to age 12, everyone plays on the kids' field with adapted gear. An older sibling of 13-14 can join the group on that same field: mention it at booking so the instructor balances the teams.

How many adults must accompany the group?

One responsible adult is enough: our instructors handle the game, the gear and the safety. Parents who stay can watch from the edge of the field, camera in hand.
