Stag or hen party near Brussels: why Archery Tag is the perfect activity
Published on 25 June 2026, updated on 1 September 2026 by the Tag Brussels team
Archery Tag is the ideal stag or hen party activity near Brussels: a private 5-hectare forest site in Bierges (Wavre), 15 minutes from the capital via the E411, scenarios built around the groom or bride-to-be, no pain and no stains, and a barbecue package to finish. All from €35 per player, on a 2-hour slot. Here is why this choice wins everyone over, from the hyper-organised best man to the cousin who has never held a bow, and how to book it without stress.
Which scenario should you pick for the groom or bride-to-be?
At Archery Tag, the "protect the king" scenario feels invented for stag parties: the groom or bride-to-be becomes the king their team must protect, while the other team showers them with rubber-tipped arrows. Even more popular: the king drop, where the hero of the day faces everyone at once armed with a full-face mask and their dignity. Guaranteed laughter, zero after-effects: the arrows do not hurt (proof here).
In practice, a round pits 2 teams of 5 to 8 players against each other, with a neutral zone in the middle of the field: at the signal, everyone sprints to grab the arrows. Rounds last 15 to 20 minutes and a session chains 5 to 8 of them, spread over 3 or 4 different scenarios. At the briefing, our instructors note who the hero of the day is: by default we start with classic elimination, then raise the complexity up to the king hunt, once the group is warmed up and alliances have already flipped twice.
Why does Archery Tag win over mixed groups?
- No pain, no stains: unlike paintball, nobody backs out "because it hurts". Everyone plays, from the ultra-sporty best man to the cousin who never runs.
- Everyone is dangerous from round one: 10 minutes of shooting initiation is enough. Light builds are actually the hardest to hit.
- The setting: 5 hectares of private forest, 15 minutes from Brussels. Your group photos will not look like a warehouse.
How does a typical stag or hen party run on our field?
- 2 pm: arrival at the free car park in Bierges (carpool from Brussels: 15 minutes via the E411).
- 2:15 pm: briefing and initiation, masks and bows handed out.
- 2:30-4:30 pm: hostilities: elimination, capture the flag, king hunt, final battle royale. Our instructors chain the scenarios at the group's pace.
- 4:30-5:30 pm: barbecue (ALL-IN package): three meats, tables at the forest edge, debrief of the battle royale betrayals.
How much does an Archery Tag stag party cost per person?
BASIC package at €35 (2 hours of play, all gear and instructors included) or ALL-IN at €55 with the barbecue hour. Package priced for a minimum of 10 participants, discounted rates from 15. The organiser locks the slot online with a €100 deposit, and everyone pays their share on site: no fronting €550 while waiting for your friends' transfers. Details on the prices page.

What if part of the group wants paintball?
Our site also runs 4 paintball fields: the go-to pick for all-out thrill-seeking groups (PRO package, 500 paintballs). The combo of both activities on the same slot works for large groups: archery for everyone, paintball for the warriors, barbecue for the reconciliation. Can you host Archery Tag at home for the stag party?
Yes: if the weekend takes place in a holiday house with a large garden or a meadow, we come to you. The at-home offer covers Archery Tag only, from 10 players, ages 8 and up. We bring the bows, the rubber-tipped arrows, the full-face masks, the targets, the field marking, a professional instructor and insurance for the activity: you provide the space and the players. The price is quoted on request, free and without obligation, based on the number of players, the duration and the distance. Unsure about your terrain? Send the address or a photo via the private events page: feasibility is confirmed before anything else.
When should you book your slot?
Online booking is open 7 days a week, with sessions starting every hour from 9 am to 6 pm and instant confirmation up to 18 hours before the slot. For a group of more than 20 people, book 1 to 2 weeks ahead, especially for a Friday: those are also the slots companies fight over. The €100 deposit, paid online, permanently locks in your 2-hour slot, and the balance is settled on site based on the final headcount. One organiser's tip: use the booking form's message field to flag the stag party, your scenario wishes and any allergies for the barbecue.

Book the stag/hen partyFrequently asked questions from organisers
Can the groom play in costume?
Yes, as long as the full-face mask stays on during play. The tutu over the outfit is a field classic, and it makes the king hunt even easier to follow.
Can we bring alcohol?
After the game only: no archery after drinks, safety first. During the ALL-IN barbecue your drinks are welcome, in moderation, with the rest of your programme in mind.
What if we are an odd number?
No problem: our instructors balance the teams every round, and scenarios like battle royale or the king hunt play perfectly with odd numbers.
Does the activity suit a hen party?
Absolutely: about a third of our stag/hen groups are hen parties. No pain, no flying mud, gorgeous forest photos: Archery Tag regularly beats paintball with female or mixed groups.
What if it rains on the day of the party?
We play in all reasonable weather, rain included: the forest blocks a good part of the water. The only exception is dangerous conditions such as a thunderstorm or gale: in that case, the session is moved to another slot free of charge. Just wear soft clothes that can get dirty and closed shoes with good support, the forest floor can get slippery.
Can a mum-to-be come along with the group?
Playing is not recommended during pregnancy, but coming along is no problem at all: she can attend the briefing, follow the rounds from the edge of the field, take the group photos and join the barbecue. Mention it when booking, our instructors will find her the best spot so she misses nothing of the king hunt.
