Team building with Archery Tag & Paintball near Brussels: the guide

Colleagues standing in a circle around an instructor for the briefing of an Archery Tag team building in the forest

An Archery Tag or paintball team building can be booked online in minutes: formats for 10 to 40 colleagues and more, 2 hours of play from €35 per person, optional barbecue and company invoice, on a private 5-hectare forest site in Bierges (Wavre), 15 minutes from Brussels. The rest fits in one sentence: the best team building is not the one that looks good on the HR slides, it is the one the team still talks about at the coffee machine three weeks later. After hosting dozens of corporate groups on our field, here is what actually makes the difference, and how to organise yours.

Why does a team shooting game bond a group?

Three mechanisms, seen at every session:

  • Forced communication: in Archery Tag and paintball alike, the team that does not talk loses. Covering a teammate, calling out an opponent, coordinating an assault: collaboration reflexes are built by playing, not in meetings.
  • The hierarchy reset: on the field, the intern who dodges like a cat is worth ten directors. That temporary role reversal is exactly what creates new bonds.
  • Shared adrenaline: laughing, running and winning (or losing) together creates common memories, the raw material of cohesion.

Archery Tag or paintball for a team building?

Archery Tag is our number one recommendation for corporate groups, for one simple reason: nobody can refuse. No pain (rubber-tipped arrows), no stains, no apprehension: the least sporty colleagues join in as much as everyone else, which is precisely the point.

Paintball remains the choice of teams that want intensity, and our favourite format for large groups is the combo: both activities in the same slot, on different fields of the same site, with the teams rotating. Detailed comparison in Archery Tag vs paintball.

How do the 2 hours on the field unfold?

Welcome and gearing up happen before the playing time starts: your 2 hours are 2 hours of play, not logistics. The session opens with our instructors' safety briefing and, for Archery Tag, a short shooting initiation: within about ten minutes everyone has drawn the bow and hit a first target, even those who had never held one.

Then come the 15 to 20 minute rounds with rotation: expect 5 to 8 rounds spread over 3 or 4 different scenarios, from classic elimination to capture the flag or protecting the VIP. Our instructors rebalance the teams every round, so an odd headcount is no problem at all. Got a favourite scenario? Mention it in the "message" field when booking and we will line it up for your group.

Which format for your team size?

Group sizeRecommended format
10 to 16 peopleOne activity, two fixed teams, scenario tournament (2 hrs)
16 to 24 peopleOne activity in rotation, 3-4 teams, mini championship
24 to 40 peopleArchery Tag + paintball combo in parallel, rotation at half-time
40 and moreTailor-made event: call us, we build the programme together

Why does the barbecue hour change everything?

The ALL-IN package adds 1 hour of barbecue with 3 kinds of meat after the 2 hours of play, in a covered area at the edge of the forest where the weather cannot spoil anything. That is when the team replays the matches, teases each other and unwinds: do not skip it, that is where the team building really pays off. Two organiser tips: flag any allergies when booking, and alcohol waits until after the game, never before or during.

How much does a team building cost per person?

Count on €35 per person for the BASIC package (2 hours of play, equipment and coaching included) and €55 for Archery Tag or €65 for paintball for the ALL-IN with barbecue. The rate is all-inclusive, with no extras: gear, full supervision, and overalls for paintball. Packages are calculated for a minimum of 10 players, rates go down from 15 participants, and for paintball, groups of 15 or more receive 100 free paintballs per player. All packages are detailed on the prices page.

Booking happens online with instant confirmation: a €100 deposit paid by card locks in your slot for good, and the balance is settled on site on the day, adjusted to the final number of participants.

What if the team building came to you?

Impossible to move the whole team to Bierges? We also run Archery Tag at your location, from 10 players: the company car park, a meadow or any open outdoor space. Tag Brussels brings bows, rubber-tipped arrows, full-face masks, targets, field marking, a professional instructor and insurance for the activity; you provide the space and the players. Brussels and the whole of Walloon Brabant are no problem; further afield, the distance simply goes into the quote, free and with no obligation. Everything is explained on the private events page.

Which practical details reassure your HR?

  • Company invoice: simply tick "I need an invoice" when booking online and enter your VAT number.
  • Accessibility: 15 minutes from Brussels via the E411 (exit 5), free private parking, ideal for a group departure after work or on a Friday afternoon.
  • Overalls provided for paintball: your colleagues leave as clean as they arrived.
  • 7 days a week, 9 am to 6 pm: including weekdays, when the site is at its quietest.

The same site also hosts stag and hen parties near Brussels: if your "team building" looks more like a party among colleagues, the scenarios are detailed there. And to weigh up other group outings, our round-up of unusual group activities near Brussels reviews what really works with a crowd.

Frequently asked questions from organisers

Can we organise a team building on a weekday?

Yes, 7 days a week from 9 am to 6 pm. Weekdays are actually ideal: the site is quieter and your team enjoys it almost privately. Thursday and Friday afternoons are the most popular corporate slots.

How do we handle colleagues who do not want to play?

First, offer Archery Tag: with no pain and no stains, most objections melt away. For the true holdouts, the official photographer or assistant referee role works very well, and the barbecue brings everyone together at the end of the session.

Is a specific outfit needed?

No: closed shoes with good support are the main thing to bring, along with soft clothes that can get dirty for Archery Tag. We provide the rest, full-face mask included, and the overalls for paintball: your colleagues leave presentable, the paint in the balls washes out.

How far ahead should a corporate group book?

Online booking works up to 18 hours before the session, but for a group of more than 20 people, book one to two weeks ahead to secure the slot, especially on Fridays.

Can we combine Archery Tag and paintball in the same team building?

Yes, it is even our favourite format above 24 people: both activities run in parallel on different fields of the same site, with a swap halfway through the session. From 30 players we build a tailor-made offer combining both; above 40, we put the programme together with you over the phone.

What if it rains on the day of the team building?

We play in any reasonable weather, rain included: the tree canopy stops a good part of the shower, the overalls do the rest for paintball and, for Archery Tag, clothes that can get dirty are all you need. The only exception is genuinely dangerous conditions (thunderstorm, gale, black ice on the roads): in that case the session is moved to another slot free of charge.
